KOMPASでは、これから共に多様な建築プロジェクトを実現させる設計スタッフ（アーキテクト・インターンも可）を募集しています。
2018年に香港と東京に設立されたKOMPASは、現在は東京を主拠点に、主宰者がHerzog & de Meuron（バーゼル・香港）で培った経験を活かして、国内外をフラットに捉えながら様々な案件に取り組んでいます。前職での美術館設計の経験もあってアート関連プロジェクトに携わる機会が多く、展覧会やギャラリーの設計に加え、大阪・関西万博でも２施設の設計を担当しました。近年は招待コンペに呼ばれる機会も増え、プロジェクトの規模や内容も広がりを見せています。
設計においては、積極的に新しい試みに挑戦し、プロジェクトごとの特異性を読み解いてそこに様々なスケールの多角的なアイデアを統合し、その場にふさわしい独自の建築デザインに昇華させるよう心掛けています。表層的なわかりやすさやメディア映えだけでなく、緻密に練りこまれた設計による多層性や多様な解釈を許容する多面性こそが、時を経ても色褪せない空間体験や建築の固有価値につながると信じています。強い作家性や特定のスタイルに依存せず、個々の建築が独自の個性や世界観を内包し得るよう、本質を見極めながら、広い視野でしなやかに設計にアプローチしていきたいと考えています。
設計プロセスでは、スケッチや模型など「手を動かして考える」手法を重視しながらも、初期段階から2D/3Dを同時並行で検討できるRevitを軸にして設計を進めています。アナログ・デジタル双方の技術をツールとして臨機応変に使い分け、手段が目的化しないようプロジェクトに合わせた柔軟な姿勢で取り組んでいます。積極的に作業の合理化・効率化を図り、なるべく多くの時間をクリエイティブな業務に費やせるよう心掛けています。
働き方については、海外経験の影響もあり、個々の自主性や価値観を尊重しながら互いの強みを活かして協働する形を理想としています。指示待ちではなく自ら考えて能動的に動き、勤務時間中は集中して働きつつも休暇やプライベートを存分に楽しみ、上下関係ではなく個々の特性や成果に応じた機会や責任を担うといった、フラットな関係性での快適な協働の場を目指しています。働き方の希望には柔軟に対応します。

【応募資格】
建築・美術系大学の学部所属もしくは卒業（インターン）、大学院卒業もしくは実務経験者（アーキテクト）
実務経験者優遇（特に実施設計・施工監理）
海外勤務もしくは海外留学経験者優遇
インターンの場合は数か月間のみでも可（でも長期推奨します）

Since the establishment in 2018, thankfully we are working on interesting projects and looking for new teammates (both intern and architect, which could be either full-time or part-time) to develop and realize these projects together and also develop the studio itself from the start-up. It is a big challenge to setup such an international architecture studio, so we would like to proceed it with collaborators who are interested in and sympathized with this challenge.
Through the founder Mai Komuro's experiences at Herzog & de Meuron, we aim to be an international practice in terms of both projects and collaborators. Through her past experiences, the strength of this studio is strong architecture design from concept level, especially for art/cultural spaces and public spaces. Currently majority of our projects are in Japan, however we are interested in expanding diversity of the projects, and also plan to participate any interesting competitions.
Our design process emphasizes thinking with hands such as sketches and physical model making as well as any interesting technology helping design development processes and communication process. We are currently using Revit to develop design both in 2D and in 3D in parallel.
We respect character and independence of individuals with high motivation and sense of responsibility, and we believe individual strength is very important to achieve successful collaboration as a team, and we plan to provide sufficient opportunities for motivated collaborators to challenge, learn and grow. We generally keep working hours and working styles flexible to fit to each lifestyle and situation.
